¿What we do in Visual Stimulation?

A child with normal vision will develop the ability to see spontaneously, however, a child with low vision, in most cases, will not do it automatically, which is why they should be visually stimulated by means of a systematic program aimed at developing their visual functions. For this, the Visual Stimulation area provides increased and intensified visual stimuli, to provide repetitive stimuli in addition to those that the environment commonly provides. Influencing their visual abilities such as near and far visual acuity, control of eye movements, contrast sensitivity, color vision, accommodation capacity, construction of visual memory and brain capacity to process information, through objects with fluorescent lights, high-contrast materials and computer programs, along with the integral development of the infant from 3 months of age to approximately 7 years of age and depending on the abilities and development of each child.
